Physician-Led Biohacking and Recovery Therapy
Recovery interventions chosen from assessment and measured for effect, rather than collected because they are currently popular.
At iLIV, biohacking means measured recovery interventions, not a list of gadgets. What is offered depends on what the assessment shows, and every item has a reason and a way of judging whether it made a difference for you.

What this addressesBrain, Sleep & Stress
Who this is for
- Sleep that is adequate in hours but not restorative
- Training that is consistent but recovery that keeps slowing
- A high workload with signs of a nervous system that stays switched on
- The basics are handled and you are still stuck
How it runs
- 01Assessment firstSleep pattern, recovery markers, body composition, and relevant blood markers where they are ordered.
- 02One or two interventions, not sixIf six things change together you will not know which one did anything.
- 03A trial period with measurement at both endsMost trial periods run three to six weeks.
- 04If the measurements do not move, it stopsThat is a normal part of the process, not a failure.

Testing usually done first
Not every test here is ordered for everyone. The consultation decides which are needed.

What we claim and what we do not
| Claim | Our position |
|---|---|
| Slows ageing or extends lifespan | Not claimed. Evidence in humans is limited. |
| Changes that persist after it stops | Not claimed. |
| Short term effects on sleep and reported recovery | Can be stated with more confidence |
| Some measurable markers | Can be stated with more confidence |

Limits and who this does not suit
We do not claim these interventions slow ageing, extend lifespan, or produce changes that persist after they stop. Evidence for claims like that in humans is limited, and we will not say more than can be supported.
- Where the basics are not yet handled, meaning sleep, nutrition, movement and workload, these interventions return very little. We will say so rather than sell you a package
- We do not claim these interventions slow ageing, extend lifespan, or produce changes that persist after they stop
- Interventions involving heat, cold or pressure are not suitable for people with certain cardiac conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, pregnancy, or some neurological conditions
- Eligibility is determined at consultation, not on the day of the session
Common questions
Is it worth it if my sleep is poor?
Yes. If sleep is your main problem, that is actually a good reason to consider it, because sauna and cold plunge are the two modalities most closely related to sleep and recovery. Many patients report better sleep after a few sessions. We still assess the other causes disrupting your sleep at the same time, because these modalities support sleep rather than replace treating the cause.
Can I do everything at once?
Yes, that is fine. The difference at iLIV is that your biohacking protocol is personalised rather than handed out as the same package for everyone. We set the order and frequency around your goals, health status and recovery capacity, and we measure so that you can see what works for you.
How long before I know whether it works?
Most trial periods run three to six weeks with measurement at both ends.
Does this replace training and sleep?
No. It supports recovery rather than replacing the basics. Sleep and stress covers that part. The weekly physical activity recommendations come from the WHO.
What is the next step?
Which recovery therapy applies depends on your own results, not on a trend. Book a consultation or read the performance and recovery pathway.
Each modality has its own page: cold plunge, infrared sauna, red light therapy and EMS training.
Every iLIV guide is written and reviewed under our editorial standards, and each one carries the name of the reviewing doctor together with their MMC registration number.
Treatments on the same pathway
Not all of these suit everyone. The doctor assesses first.
