These editorial standards set out who reviews the medical content on this site, how we choose sources, and how we handle corrections when we get something wrong.

Who writes and who reviews

Our content team drafts each page against current guidance, and then a registered doctor reviews it before publication. The reviewer name and review date appear on the page. However, we never put a doctor name on a page they have not reviewed, even when the content is accurate, because a signature nobody stands behind means nothing.

Editorial standards for choosing sources

We give priority to Malaysian clinical guidance, then recognised international guidance, then systematic reviews. We do not use single studies with small samples as the basis for any statement about treatment. Where the evidence genuinely conflicts, we say so rather than picking the more convincing end. We also link external sources, so you can check them yourself.

What these editorial standards rule out

• Claims about treatment outcomes that no reference supports
• Patient testimonials used as evidence of clinical effectiveness
• Treatment prices published without medical advertising approval
• Sponsored content or paid product reviews
• Direct comparisons naming other clinics

Review cycle and corrections

We schedule every medical page for re-review, and we show the last review date. When guidance changes, we update the page rather than leaving it on old numbers. When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page itself instead of tucking it away elsewhere. To report an error, contact us. You can also meet the doctors who review this content.

Commercial content and advertising

This site does not accept sponsored content, and we do not publish paid product reviews. Where a page mentions a service we offer ourselves, we say so plainly rather than disguising it as neutral advice. Furthermore, we do not publish treatment pages needing medical advertising approval before we obtain it, even when the content is clinically accurate, because that requirement is legal rather than optional. All our doctors hold registration with the Malaysian Medical Council.
