The health tools at iLIV split into two groups: free calculators you can use right now, and lab panels that need a sample. However, calculators only give an estimate drawn from population averages. Tests give the actual numbers from your body.

Free calculators
Every calculation runs in your browser, and we store nothing. In addition, we apply the Asian cut-offs used in Malaysia rather than European ranges.
Diagnostic panels
The first consultation decides which of these apply. After all, nobody needs all of them, and a test that will not change a treatment decision only adds cost.
When to use health tools, and when to test
Start with a calculator if you simply want a rough position. If that number sits outside range, or symptoms such as post-meal fatigue appear, then lab testing earns its place. Still, a calculator cannot see insulin resistance, thyroid function, or low ferritin.
What these health tools cannot do
Calculators use formulas drawn from population averages, so none of them knows your muscle mass, your thyroid function, or the medication you take. For example, a calorie estimate can miss by as much as fifteen per cent. Treat the number as a starting point to test for two weeks rather than a target to hit exactly. See the Ministry of Health Malaysia for official guidance. Book a consultation.
How we organise these health tools
We order the calculators by the questions people actually ask: what is my BMI, how many calories do I need, where does my fat sit. We group the diagnostic panels by health pathway rather than by laboratory name, because patients arrive with symptoms rather than a list of tests. Every panel has its own page explaining what it measures, how to prepare, how long results take, and what the test cannot tell you. We write that limits section deliberately, since a test sold without its limits is a test sold too dearly.
Which calculator suits you
If you are starting out and want one number to work from, open the BMI calculator first. If you already know your BMI and want to know where the fat sits, the waist to hip ratio tells you more, because fat around the organs carries higher risk than fat under the skin. To set a daily eating target, the daily calorie calculator works out your burn and a sensible weekly deficit. Meanwhile the ideal weight calculator gives you a reference range rather than a single number to chase. After that, the weight and metabolic health pathway explains which tests usually follow.
